Who we are
This website, blacklinebuilder.com, belongs to Blackline Builders LLC, a builder of custom homes, renovations and concrete work based at 7501 Gary Rd, Manassas, VA 20109. In this notice, “we” and “us” mean Blackline Builders.
The notice covers this website, the contact form on it, and emails or calls that start from it. It does not cover other websites that link to us.
What we collect
What you send us
When you request an estimate, we ask for:
- About you
- Your name, phone number and email address
- Your project
- The type of project and the city or county where it is
- Optional
- Anything you write about the project
- Consent
- Your permission for us to contact you about the request
If you email or call us instead, we receive whatever you choose to share, which is usually the same kind of detail.
What the website records on its own
Like almost every website, ours runs on a web host that keeps short technical logs of requests: your IP address, the type of browser and device, the page requested, and the date and time. These logs keep the site working and help protect it from abuse. We don't use them to identify visitors.
How we use it
- To reply to your request by phone or email.
- To arrange and prepare an on-site estimate, and follow up on it.
- To keep a record of our conversations, estimates and proposals, and of any project we take on together.
- To keep the website running and secure.
We don't add you to a mailing list or send you marketing because you asked for an estimate.
How the contact form works
Nothing is sent until you choose “Send request.” Then the details you entered travel over an encrypted connection to this website, which passes them to the customer-management system we use to keep track of requests, HighLevel (operated by LeadConnector). We keep them there so we can reply to you, prepare your estimate and follow up on it.
The page tells you whether your request went through. If it could not be sent, the page says so plainly, keeps your details in the form, and offers a button that opens your own email app with them filled in, or you can call us.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Your details may pass through the companies that provide our website hosting, customer-management system (HighLevel), email and phone service, only so that those services work. Beyond that, we share details only when it is part of the work you asked us to do, or when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep request details for as long as we need them to reply, to prepare an estimate, and to keep sensible business records of estimates, proposals and projects. After that we delete them. Server logs are kept by our web host for a short period and then removed.
Cookies, analytics and tracking
This site doesn't set cookies. It uses no analytics, no advertising or social media pixels, and it loads no scripts, fonts, maps or videos from other companies. Everything you see is served from our own site.
If that ever changes, we will update this notice first.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to:
- tell you what details we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete your details, unless we need to keep a record of a project we did for you;
- stop contacting you.
Email [email protected] or call 571-200-3100. We may ask you to confirm who you are before we change or share anything.
Keeping it secure
The site is served over an encrypted connection, and we limit who can see request details to the people who need them to reply and to plan your project. No website or email system is completely secure, so please don't send payment details or passwords through the form or by email.
Children
This website is meant for adults planning building work. We don't knowingly collect details from children. If you think a child has sent us their details, tell us and we will delete them.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle your details, we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
